Guaranteed tee times on The Old Course
Old Course guaranteed tee times are based on a minimum 3 night stay in St Andrews. One additional course must be played. This is usually the New or the Jubilee however the Castle can also be played. Guaranteed packages are based on a minimum of 4 golfers.

Especially with The Open being held at Carnoustie just down the road there will be higher volumes of golfers in the region in 2018. Keep a look out for our 2018 Open Package.
This is where we assist you to enter names in a ballot 48 hours before the day of play. At 4 o’clock pm the same day of entering we will find out if you were successful. There are no guarantees of success however just under 50% of tee times are allocated by the ballot. A minimum of two golfers are required to enter the ballot and a maximum of four per card.
Single golfers who wish to play the Old Course without a tee time should check in at the Old Pavilion on the day of play. Early check in advised. The Starters will do their best for you to join a two or three ball group. Most groups are welcome to single golfers joining them however there are no guarantee.

- To play the Old Course you must possess a valid handicap certificate. Maximum handicap of 24 for Gents and 36 for Ladies.
- Caddies are available at request on the day of play.
- The Old Course is closed on Sundays but a great day to walk and analyse the course.
